BSNL re-launches discontinued Broadband Plans in Bengaluru, Any takers for these plans?

By September 29th, 2014 AT 3:46 PM

BSNL in a bid to strengthen its Broadband subscribers base and retain the customers has relaunched some of the famous Broadband Combo plans which will bundle Voice usage along with the usual internet usage. The catch is that these offers are currently available in Bengaluru and will be available only for 90 days.

The following plans have been relaunched for a limited period ‘BB Home ULD 540’, ‘BB Home Combo ULD 640’, ‘BBG Combo ULD 790’, ‘BBG Combo ULD 890’

We are well aware that the loss making BSNL is trying hard to reinvent itself and again emerge as one of the leading ISPs in India. We would be interested to know if you would still go in for a new BSNL Broadband connection.

BSNL is lethargic and dont-care-attitude as ever. I applied online at BSNL’s UDAAN website for new ULD home broadband-combo connection in Bangalore 4 days ago and received an automated SMS giving a “lead number”. Checking this lead status online showed personnel contact info. But no follow-up from them at all. On contacting them myself, the same-old “we will look into it” response. What use is BSNL’s new promo to attract new broadband customers when BSNL’s personnel continue to behave this way ?

I have been searching for a better option for broadband connection in the area I am staying. I tried contact ACT, Tikona, Hathways and some who have advertised some attractive plans of VDSL. None of them are responding. Only AirTel and BSNL are having the service here in my locality it seems. Could be that my colony is out of their service area. MTNL Mumbai is having much better plans.
