In an attempt to provide greater benefits to mobile users of Kolkata telecom circle, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (Calcutta Telephones) has introduced 2 new recharge vouchers -RC 124 and RC 249- applicable for its most popular GSM prepaid plan KOLKATA99 /249/ 249Plus.
With these RCVs, BSNL’s existing and new subscribers can enjoy local call rates as low as 5 paisa and STD calls just at 50 paisa to BSNL phones of the East Region which includes Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Andman Nicorbar, Bihar, Meghalay, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Orissa states. The STD calls to other networks of East region would be 75paisa.
The STD calls other than East Region will be Re.1 for all networks. Both RCVs allow local call @ 5 paisa (BSNL mobile to BSNL mobile) and 20 paisa for BSNL landline and BSNL Rest of Bengal network. The other networks local calls will be charged at 50 paisa.

RCV Rs.249-Talk Time Rs.100 and Validity 60 Days.

- Local call to Other Network (Kolkata)- 50 paisa per minute
- STD call with in East Region (own net)- 50 paisa per minute
- STD calls with in East Region (other net)- 75 paisa
- STD calls to all network other than East Region- Rs.1 per minute
