BSNL LAUNCHES INDIA WIDE WIRELESS BROADBAND AT RS.650

bsnl evdo wireless broadbandBharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) today announced the launch of EVDO a high speed wireless broadband service with India Wide Internet access facility while on move .The Company claims BSNL EVDO Data Card can offer speed up to 2.4 mbps, faster than existing mobile wireless service and now BSNL providing the India Wide Roaming on its EVDO service. BSNL EVDO broadband service allows customers to be connected not only for mails, but also for downloads, large files uploads, photo sharing, etc.

BSNL EVDO Data Card comes with a price tag of Rs.2,100 and can be used in laptop or in desktop PC.BSNL also introduces the Unlimited Internet Usage plan at Rs.650 per month. BSNL customer can use EVDO card to access the High speed wireless broadband service across India.




The above tariff will be effective from 1 st July, 2009 for all new customers. For existing customers who have already taken the cards and are presently getting unlimited service @ Rs.550 for EVDO card, they have to migrate to higher plan after completion of 6 months period and due intimation has to be given to them as per TRAI directions on the subject.

The awareness and demand for wireless Internet connectivity is increasing rapidly and with laptop and PC sales showing exponential growth, there is a huge demand for wireless high-speed Internet access, BSNL EVDO broadband service allows customers to be connected not only for mails, but also for downloads, large files uploads, photo sharing, etc. It also allows users to send and receive SMS and is compatible with both laptops and desktop PCs.

BSNL is the first to roll out EVDO Internet in India. The EVDO was launched unofficially back in September 2007 by BSNL and now, after the establishing better EVDO network, BSNL has started to launch officially in most parts of the country and now its the EVDO users can acess the high speed wireless broadband with India wide roaming facility.
