Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), the state-led telecom operator has been making a lot of consumer-centric moves lately to take on the competition from the private telecom operators. The telco has introduced a lot of new plans for its prepaid subscribers in addition to some of the STVs. BSNL has been continuing its streak of introductions of new plans and the telco does not seem to be stopping any time soon as it tries to fill in the pit of losses. However, there is one area where BSNL was lagging. While all the telcos were offering bundled premium subscriptions along with their fibre broadband plans like Netflix

, ZEE5, or Amazon Prime, BSNL was nowhere near in this league. However, now BSNL has introduced a fibre broadband plan which avails a Hotstar subscription to its subscribers.

BSNL Superstar 300 Plans Details

The Superstar 300 plan is a high-speed fibre broadband plan available for a monthly rental of Rs 749. This plan will avail subscribers 300GB of data per m

onth as the name signifies and it does so with 50 Mbps speed. The high-speed fibre broadband plan by BSNL also comes with one additional benefit, which is the main highlight of this plan. For the first time, BSNL is offering a free Hotstar subscription with this Superstar 300 plan. The subscribers will be able to the Hotstar premium subscription with this plan, thus giving them a year worth of access to premium content on Hotstar.

The main reason why BSNL has launched this plan now is because of the cricket season. For anyone who watches cricket on the phone, Hotstar is mostly the go-to place of every viewer. Especially during the season of Indian Premier League (IPL) and the ICC Cricket World Cup which is currently ongoing. To please the cricket fans and the broadband customers, BSNL has introduced this Superstar 300 plan.

Hotstar Becomes Go to Place for Cricket Fanatics

Shri Anupam Shrivastava, CMD, BSNL said about the launch of this plan, “Cricket matches today are being viewed more& more on mobiles, desktops and Smart TVs, and customers will seek high data speeds. Our partnership with Hotstar Premium has started at the right time when sports entertainment is at its peak, and we want to bring the best offers to our customers with SUPERSTAR 300, to celebrate this mega sports season.”

Varun Narang, Chief Product Office – Hotstar added, “This partnership brings together the best of two worlds – BSNL’s high-speed data network that will allow for seamless viewing of the best of live sports & entertainment,  from Hotstar Premium.”

It is worth noting that BSNL’s new Superstar 300 fibre-broadband plan will be available in all circles of BSNL. The subscribers will not only enjoy 300GB data at high speeds of 50 Mbps, but they will also enjoy a complimentary Hotstar subscription. The subscribers can also dial 18003451500 from their number to avail this offer.
