Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has come up with a new FRC plan of Rs. 298 for new users who're looking to join its network. This FRC 298 plan gives unlimited voice calls (local/STD/Onnet/Offnet). Also, BSNL did not mention any FUP limit for the voice calls though.
The plan also gives 1GB data per day, and the speed will be reduced to 80 Kbps after 1GB/day. The voice and data freebies will be valid for 56 days from the date of recharge. BSNL has launched this plan as a promotional one, meaning it will be valid only for 180 days i.e, from 07/08/2017 to 04/11/2017.
As said earlier, this is a first recharge plan (FRC) from BSNL. This is a very good plan from BSNL, but the validity of 56 days is a slight letdown. However, BSNL’s plan is much cheaper than private telcos FRC plans.
Reliance Jio has a Rs. 399 plan, which is for existing and new users. However, a new Jio customer should recharge with JioPrime membership of Rs. 99, which, in turn, makes the plan cost Rs. 498 for a new user. Jio's Rs. 399 plan gives 1GB data per day and unlimited voice calls to any network for 84 days.
On the other hand, Airtel is also offering a similar plan of Rs. 399 for new customers, which gives 1GB data and unlimited voice calls (FUP of 300 mins per day and 1200 mins per week). The benefits are valid for 84 days.
Other telecom operators such as Vodafone, Aircel, and Idea Cellular also has similar plans, which are priced higher than the BSNL's plan. Vodafone's FRC 445 gives 1GB data per day and unlimited voice calls for 84 days, while Aircel's circle-specific plan of FRC 449 plan offers 168GB (2GB data per day) and unlimited voice calls to any network for 84 days.
Note: The plan is valid in BSNL Gujarat.
