Asus Zenfone Max M1 and Zenfone Lite L1 Launched in India: Price, Specifications and Availability

The Asus Zenfone Max M1 and the Zenfone Lite L1 are the two new smartphones from the Taiwanese smartphone brand. The Asus Zenfone Max M1 comes with a 4000mAh battery and the Zenfone Lite L1 has a 3000mAh battery. Both the smartphones are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset, something which we have seen in this price range earlier. The Zenfone Lite L1 is priced at Rs 6,999, whereas the Zenfone Max M1 carries a price tag of Rs 8,999. The Lite L1 competes with the Xiaomi Redmi 6A in India especially considering the phones are priced similarly. The Max M1, on the other hand, takes on the Realme C1 and Xiaomi Redmi 5.

Asus Zenfone Max M1: Specifications and Features

Talking about the specifications of the Asus Zenfone Max M1, it has a 5.45-inch HD+ display with 2.5D curved glass on top and offers 82% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset, clubbed with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There's a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB. The phone measures 147.3mm*70.9mm*8.7mm and weighs 150 grams, despite boasting a 4000mAh battery underneath.

As for the cameras, the Max M1 has a 13MP shooter on the rear side with f/2.0 aperture, 4P lens, 1.12um, PDAF and LED flash. Asus has added its PixelMaster camera app which ships with camera modes such as Auto, Beauty, Pro, Panorama, Time Lapse, Portrait and HDR. On the front side, the phone has an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash.

The USP of the Max M1 is the 4000mAh battery inside and it ships with 10W charger inside the retail box. Connectivity options on the handset include 4G LTE (no Dual 4G), VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and Micro USB Port. The fingerprint scanner is present on the rear side and there's a software-based Face Unlock functionality as well. The phone boots Android 8.0 Oreo with ZenUI 5.0 out of the box. This phone also supports reverse charging feature.

Asus Zenfone Lite L1: Specifications and Features

Like the Asus Zenfone Max M1, the Lite L1 also ships with a 5.45-inch HD+ display, but it lacks the 2.5D curved glass. This phone is also powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset, clubbed with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage; You can expand the storage with the help of a dedicated microSD card slot present inside. Cameras on the Lite L1 include a 13MP shooter on the back which is the same one as the Max M1, but on the front, it has a 5MP selfie camera.

As for the connectivity options, the Lite L1 offers 4G LTE (no Dual 4G again), VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and a Micro USB port. This device also runs Android 8.0 Oreo-based ZenUI 5.0. The Zenfone Lite L1 offers Accelerometer, E-Compass, Proximity and Ambient light sensors. It lacks a fingerprint scanner but has the Face Unlock feature.

Asus Zenfone Max M1 and Lite L1: Pricing and Availability

Both the smartphones will be available in only one variant, but in two colour options- Black and Gold. The Asus Zenfone Lite L1 has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage priced at Rs 5,999 (introductory price), while the Zenfone Max M1 with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage will be available at Rs 8,999, but during the festive season, it will be available for Rs 7,499. Both the phones are available via Flipkart. The original price of the Asus Zenfone Lite L1 is Rs 6,999, but during the festive season, it can be picked up for Rs 5,999.

Asus Zenfone Max M1 and Lite L1: Launch Offers

Asus has teamed with Reliance Jio to offer Rs 2,200 cashback and 50GB of additional data to the users. Jio users inserting the Jio 4G SIM card on the smartphone and recharging with either the Rs 198 or Rs 299 prepaid plans will receive a cashback of Rs 2,200 to their MyJio account, and the additional data will also be credited to their account after the recharge.

Asus is also offering Flipkart Complete Mobile Protection scheme with both the phones at Rs 399. As an introductory price, the same scheme can be picked up for Rs 99.
