Among the many speculations surrounding the Zenfone 4 series, two new devices bearing the model numbers X00LDA and X00LD have been spotted on the Geekbench listing. Although there is no confirmation, both the devices are expected to be part of the much talked about Asus Zenfone 4 series.
Asus had announced earlier that it would be releasing up to five Zenfone 4 series smartphones soon and had promptly launched the Aus Zenfone 4 Max recently. Now, this latest leak only ascertains the company’s statement. Both the handsets seem to boast different RAM configurations and also come with a few similarities of their own.
The Asus X00LD is listed as being internally powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, clocked at 1.4GHz and coupled with 4GB of RAM. The phone’s benchmark results suggest that the device runs on Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box with possible chances of being further enhanced by the company’s own UI.
When it comes to the model Asus X00LDA, the Geekbench listing hints at the phone sharing same hardware as that of the X00LD, under the hood. The processor seems to be paired with 2GB of RAM, and according to the listing, the X00LDA will also ship the same version of the operating system.
Rumours indicate that these two models are simply different variants of the aforementioned Asus Zenfone 4 Max smartphone. The model with 2GB RAM is most likely to come with 16GB of internal memory while the one with 4GB RAM might come with 64GB of internal memory. Asus had previously confirmed that each of the Zenfone 4 series smartphones would come equipped with a microSD card slot for further expanding the memory as suited, up to 256GB.
No firm details regarding the availability of the Asus X00LD and the X00LDA are currently known, although, we can expect Asus to unveil them during the German Trade Show later this year. We are keeping an ear to the ground for any further updates on this leak.
Apart from the Zenfone 4 Max, we can also expect the Taiwanese OEM (original equipment manufacturer) to announce the Zenfone 4V, Zenfone 4 Selfie, and the Zenfone 4 Pro smartphones very soon.
