We're just a couple of days away from Apple officially announcing its next-gen iPhones, supposedly three of them. Apple is expected to launch three new iPhones at its September 12 event- Apple iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and the iPhone 9. Both the iPhone XS and XS Max are expected to be successors to the iPhone X released last year as they both might feature OLED displays on the front. The third iPhone, which might sport an LCD display is expected to be dubbed as iPhone 9, successor to iPhone 8. Now, telecom service provider China Telecom's teaser image leaked online hints the iPhone 9 will come with Dual SIM card slots and it will even feature Dual 4G support.

First iPhone With Dual SIM and Dual 4G Connectivity

Having said that, if the teaser image is believed to be true, then the iPhone 9 will be the first iPhone to come with Dual SIM card slots. And the best part is the teaser image confirms the presence of Dual 4G as well. In 2018, Dual 4G has become an essential feature on any smartphone; Even a sub Rs 5,000 smartphone is now offering Dual 4G feature, which explains the entire story.

Dual 4G is a Key Feature in 2018

In 2018, several manufacturers are adding the Dual 4G feature on their smartphones. For example, Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi 6A at a starting price of Rs 5,999 and the device has Dual 4G support. Other smartphones which offer Dual 4G connectivity in India right now are Xiaomi Redmi 6A, Redmi 6, Redmi Note 5 Pro, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, Honor Play and many other smartphones.

Apple iPhone 9 Rumoured Specifications and Features

As mentioned, Apple is expected to launch three new iPhones this year, and the cheapest one among the three is the iPhone 9. The iPhone 9 will be the only iPhone to come with LCD display this year, while the other two will have OLED displays on board. Besides the display, the iPhone 9 will feature similar hardware as the iPhone XS and XS Max, sans the single camera on the rear side of the iPhone 9 as the other two will have two cameras on the rear side.

Apple iPhone XS and XS Max Rumoured Features and Specifications

According to the leaked information, the iPhone XS and XS Max will come with edge-to-edge displays with a notch on top. Like last year, Apple is not expected to include Touch ID on this year's iPhones as well. Now you might be wondering if Apple is going with in-display fingerprint scanners. Well, that's also not possible as the company is still in a mindset that the feature is not yet ready for the mainstream audience.

The iPhone XS will have the same 5.8-inch OLED display, whereas the iPhone XS Max will have a massive 6.5-inch OLED display. Apple will still reply on its Face ID technology to offer it as the primary unlocking option. As expected, the three new iPhones will come with Apple A12 chipset under the hood, but the amount of RAM is still a mystery.

Pricing wise, the iPhone 9 is expected to start at $799, followed by the iPhone XS at $899 and the XS Max at $999. Furthermore, Apple is expected to come up with a new strategy for the Indian market this year. It will be interesting to see how that works out.
