Alcatel has not been very active when it comes to launching smartphones in India and has been pretty much a dormant player. However, it does not plan on playing the waiting game for long and will launch Alcatel One Touch Idol X+ in India on May 29th in an exclusive partnership with Flipkart. Let us take a look at its specifications:

Alcatel One Touch Plus
Alcatel One Touch Plus
  • 5 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels
  • 2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6592 Octa-Core processor
  • Mali 450 GPU
  • Android 4.3 Jelly Bean
  • 2GB RAM
  • 16GB internal storage which can be expanded by another 32GB with the help of a microSD card slot
  • 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera
  • 3G, Wi-Fi, DLNA, Wi-Fi direct, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS for connectivity
  • 2500 mAh battery (27 hours 2G talk time/650 hours 2G standby time)
  • Blue-Black and White colour options

It will be launched in a couple of days time and the pricing will be announced as well then. We expect it to cost under Rs 20,000 if Alcatel wants to make this device one of the better sellers on sale. But seeing the fact that Alcatel usually prices its devices above the rest, it might see itself getting priced in Rs 20,000-25,000 bracket.
