The Apple iPhone X is currently the talk of the town for many reasons- limited stock, hefty price tag, and of course, with its specifications and features. As per our sources, telecom operator Bharti Airtel is planning to bring the most expensive iPhone X to its recently launched Online Store. Airtel might bring the smartphone to its platform on November 3, on the same day when Apple is launching the phone globally.
The Apple iPhone X is currently out of stock across the world, thanks to the unprecedented demand for the tenth anniversary iPhone. It is also speculated that Apple is initially shipping only 2-3 million units of the iPhone X. Given the limited availability of the smartphone, the Airtel Online Store will be amongst the limited number of platforms for customers to get the iPhone X.
Two weeks ago, Airtel launched its online store as part of the company's Project Next, under which the operator will partner with smartphone manufacturers to offer mobile phones on a contract basis. That said, Airtel has already partnered with Apple for the Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, and both the smartphones are already available on a contract basis on Airtel Online Store.
Apple started taking pre-orders for the iPhone X yesterday, and the smartphone went out of stock in the country just after seven minutes. Airtel hasn’t made any announcement on the availability of the iPhone X on the Airtel Online Store, and according to our sources, it is still unknown whether the leading telecom operator will take pre-orders for the iPhone X or not.
Currently, Airtel is offering the Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus on its online store. The Apple iPhone 7 32GB variant is available for a down payment of Rs. 7,777, and customers have to pay Rs. 2,499 every month for 24 months which also includes a premium postpaid plan that gives 30GB data and unlimited voice calls, SMS.
Our sources are not sure about the bundled tariff plan of the iPhone X, but the operator will likely offer the iPhone X at a normal price of Rs. 89,000 to purchase from its online store starting November 3.
