Airtel Comes Up With Five Prepaid Recharge Plans With Data Benefit Up to 126GB for New Users

Incumbent telcos such as Bharti Airtel, Vodafone India and Idea Cellular are launching new tariff plans for existing users, but unlike Reliance Jio, the existing user plans are not applicable for new users. For the uninitiated, Reliance Jio’s tariff plans can be availed by both existing and new users, but the new users have to pay an additional amount of Rs 99 for JioPrime membership. Keeping that in mind and to attract new users, Bharti Airtel has introduced five prepaid plans starting at Rs 178 and going all the way up to Rs 559. These five First Recharge (FRC) plans from Airtel offer up to 126GB of 4G data along with unlimited voice calling and 100 text messages per day. And yes, these FRCs are applicable across the country.

Airtel FRC 178: Benefits and Validity Period

Aforementioned, Airtel’s first recharge plans start at Rs 178 and it offers benefits of unlimited local, STD and roaming outgoing calls, 100 SMS per day and 1GB of 3G/4G data for a period of 28 days. This is the same plan Airtel is offering for existing users at a price of Rs 149, although as a segmented plan.

Airtel FRC 229: Benefits and Validity Period

Moving onto the FRC 229 prepaid plan, Airtel is offering similar benefits of unlimited voice calling even in national roaming, 100 SMS per day and 1.4GB data per day for a period of 28 days. To recall, the same plan’s is being offered by Airtel to existing users at Rs 199.

Airtel FRC 344: Benefits and Validity Period

Next on the list, we have the FRC 344, which offers a decent 2GB data benefit per day for 28 days. Other than these, Airtel also provides an unlimited user voice calls without any FUP limit and 100 SMS per day during the validity period.

Airtel FRC 495 and FRC 559: Benefits and Validity Period

Lastly, we have the FRC 495 and FRC 559 prepaid plans offering benefits for 84 days and 90 days. Both the plans offer similar benefits of unlimited local, STD and national roaming outgoing calls, 100 SMS per day and 1.4GB data benefit per day. The data benefit can be availed as 2G or 3G or 4G.

Airtel First Recharge Plans: Terms and Conditions

Airtel has some terms and conditions on these first recharge plans. The telco is offering voice calling only for normal usage and if the company finds a user misusing the unlimited voice calling benefit, then the benefits will be taken off from that particular mobile number. Another thing worth noting is that these prepaid plans can be availed only via My Airtel app or website, other than at the time of availing the SIM card.

Close jio also and buy telegraph machines.

Whatever the speed. None of the operators in India give the actual speed of the particular technology to each and every user anytime, anywhere within India.

AVoId, BSNL and jio are the fate of India.

Airtel is providing better speeds then JIO in some parts of Gujarat circle

November 3, 2018 9:10 am 9:10 AM
Airtel has least customers in Gujarat circle as compared to individual voda , idea & Jio. Airtel does not have deep coverage in many districts of Gujarat. They have the smallest coverage as compared to all existing players. Airtel does not have low band frequency spectrum like 900 MHz in Gujarat circle. Their 2g is on 1800 , 3g on 2100 & 4g on 1800 & 2300mhz. They have a very weak indoor coverage specially in smaller towns/ villages . They share towers with voda/idea which have 2g on 900 MHz. So most remote places Airtel is absent. So in… Read more »

Same is the case with airtel in UP West. Last position in subscriber base. But speeds are average coz only band 3 4G is implemented in majority of places.

Rajnish, What are you Saying? Airtel was 2nd in UP (West) before being displaced off to 3rd by Jio. Vodafone has the least while Idea has the most Subscribers.

@ priyansh official stats for 2018 not available .
Check this screenshot’s third last line.
Till Dec 2017 Idea was leading in UP West, Vodafone was second, Airtel third, Jio fourth.
Since then only jio has shown extraordinary growth in its user base.

Airtel was never at second position in UP West afaik.

I think you are confusing UP West with East.
In UP East airtel has been the leading operator. Not sure if it is at second spot now or not.

Well thank you for providing this piece of info. I didn’t know when Airtel lost all those subscribers. Sorry for stats posted by me. This came as a shock to me because I was talking about UP (West) only and was knowing Vodafone is the leading Operator in UP (East). I need to view the original annexure that you shared. Will definitely clear more of my doubts.

That’s what I don’t like about Airtel. What’s wrong with them I seriously don’t know. What will make them deploy band 40? They could have achieved good revenue before next auction.

It has least customers in Gujarat, That’s why I am getting good speeds. (Not my primary/secondary) number. Having sim of Airtel so just tried to check the speed, but really better speeds then JIO. Coverage is also good aspcially On National highway from Jamnagar to Ahmedabad.

It was not regarding rental cost. It was due to its no differentiation with regards to Jio . In fact horrible compared to Jio seamless experience. Customer care arrogance was also the reason
