Aircel has been aggressively marketing its services among the circles where it is currently operational. The company had recently restructured its marketing strategy by rolling back services in loss making circles and redistributing assets in the profit-making ones.
Aircel has been launching innovative products and services like ‘My first Internet service’ to rope in the first-time mobile internet users and get them onto the network. Now Aircel has launched its online exclusive offer whereby it is offering 20% extra data on select data recharge denominations of Rs.193, 393, 693, 993.
Aircel has also signed Inter circle 3G roaming agreement with Reliance communications for offering 3G services in circles like Mumbai where it does not currently hold 3G spectrum. It remains to be seen whether Aircel will participate in the upcoming 2G and 3G auctions in March. Aircel also holds 20MHz of Unpaired spectrum in the 2300MHz band in 8 circles which it plans to use for deploying TD-LTE which it is yet to roll out.
