PwC and Microsoft's AI Agent Collaboration

According to the joint release, the focus of the collaboration is on deploying AI agents—systems capable of autonomously performing tasks, analysing data, and supporting decision-making. By combining PwC's industry expertise and Microsoft's AI technology, the partnership will equip organisations with the tools needed to leverage AI as a strategic asset, driving innovation and business growth.

Accelerating AI Transformation

"Serving 85 percent of the Fortune 500, we are not just looking at Copilot for efficiency gains and productivity increases but also for fundamentally changing business processes. Copilot is not just a tool – but a platform for end-to-end transformation and to enable clients to get impactful products and offerings to market quicker and at a fraction of the cost," said Stephanie Mosticchio, Global Microsoft Alliance Leader, PwC US.

"This is why we are excited to collaborate with Microsoft, to share the power of agentic AI with our broad client base. As one of the largest Microsoft 365 Copilot customers globally, PwC has Copilot licenses enabled and deployed more than 40 countries. This achievement is underlined by our recognition as the Microsoft 2024 Global Partner of the Year for Building with AI," Stephanie Mosticchio added.

"The collaboration represents a phased adoption journey enabling organisations to empower their employees, scale to role-specific and area-wide scenarios through tailored AI-driven use cases and advance to fully autonomous agents embedded within their enterprise ecosystems," the joint statement said.

"Using the innovative potential of Copilot, and autonomous agent capabilities, we can help customers accelerate AI transformation across industries, to help organisations achieve successful business outcomes," said Stephen Boyle, GSI Leader at Microsoft.

PwC's Agents Factory

PwC said its Agents Factory is a key differentiator in this framework, as it is designed to ensure a foundational definition to accessing data, assuring data privacy, and ensuring the ethical use of AI. It also defines the core elements for creating agents. This will enable agents to be swiftly created, ensuring they are tailored to meet specific client needs and industry requirements, while always respecting the organisation's standards and policies.
