Affordable 5G for All

The chipset offers Gigabit 5G, providing download speeds of up to 1Gbps, along with improved modem power efficiency of up to 37 percent. It is claimed to deliver up to 7x higher download throughput and up to 40 percent lower latency compared to LTE.

“This is the very first time we are going to revolutionise the 5G space with the launch of Poco C75 5G,” said Himanshu Tandon, Head of Poco India.

“Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 4s Gen2 5G chipset in July 2024 at the Snapdragon for India event. Over 600 million users are still using 4G, 3G, or 2G networks and primarily the feature phones. One of the major bottlenecks for transitioning to 5G has been affordability. This Snapdragon 4s Gen2 chipset will bring ‘5G for All’ in this price segment,” said Saurabh Arora, Business Head, Qualcomm India.

“This is the only chipset in this price segment built on the 4nm process node, which offers better power efficiency,” Arora added.
