Network Expansion in Key Locations
According to Virgin Media O2 (VMO2), much-loved staycation spots such as the Scottish Highlands, the Hebrides, Kent, East Sussex, and Yorkshire are already reaping the benefits of these enhancements. Charming coastal towns, including Whitstable, St Ives, Scarborough, and Brighton, have also seen significant improvements.
Partnership for Underserved Regions
Virgin Media O2, the Welsh Government, and Wavemobile – rural coverage experts – partnered to bring advanced connectivity to underserved areas. South Stack, a nature reserve in rural Wales, now has reliable mobile signal coverage, even in remote areas. This has pleased visitors and boosted the local economy by enabling card payments at the visitor centre.
