Apple iPhone 13 Expected to Come With 13.7% Faster Processor

Apple iPhone 13 series is all set to be launched on September 14. Like last year, the company is expected to take the wraps off four new models this year as well. These are likely to include the iPhone 13 standard variant, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Now, further details regarding these models are hitting the rumour mills with each passing day.

It is speculated that Apple will bring some internal upgrades to the upcoming models. Already, it was hinted that the battery capacity of the Pro models would be relatively bigger to fuel the 5G + 120 Hz combo. Now, it has been hinted that the iPhone 13 series will use a faster Apple A15 chip that will come with notable improvements.

Apple A15 Bionic Chip Improvements

As per the tipster, Tron and Clien, who tipped the support for LEO satellite communication in select regions, have once again shared another hint. As per a benchmark test of the Apple A15’s GPU chip from a July batch, the upcoming A-series chip is said to be 13.7 per cent faster than the existing A14 chip.

The Manhattan 3.1 GPU benchmark test also reveals that the A15 chip can reach 198 FPS in the first round of testing. In the second round, it dropped between 140 and 150 FPS. This is better than the performance of the A14 chip in the Manhattan 3.1 testing, which is 170.7.

Furthermore, the tipster shared Manhattan 3.1 GPU test numbers of the Samsung Exynos 2200 on cards for its next-gen flagship models. In the third round, the Exynos 2200 GPU scored 127.5 FPS, while that of the A15 is higher. These figures hint that Apple will continue to retain an edge over its Android rivals.

Apple iPhone 13 Upgrades

Given that the Apple iPhone 13 series will be sequels to the iPhone 12 models launched last year, these are expected to come with notable upgrades. Going by the same, the company is expected to bring a 120 Hz LTPO display on the Pro models. Also, there will be a relatively smaller notch on all four iPhone models.

Moreover, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max models are said to feature some camera upgrades. There will be three camera sensors along with a LiDAR sensor. Also, the ultra-wide sensor will arrive with autofocus support, added the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The company is speculated to bring a 6-piece lens rather than the existing 5-piece lens. Already, we can come across reports suggesting the presence of ProRes video recording, new filters and other new video features.
