Motorola is gearing up for its first major launch in the Indian market. The official Motorola Twitter account started teasing the launch event of the flagship smartphone, the Moto Z2 Force and the launch is set for February 15. However, the Lenovo-owned company will launch a Limited Edition Z2 Force in the country which comes with a Moto TurboPower Pack Mod that costs Rs 5,999. As of now, we don't have information on the pricing of the smartphone, but it could be priced at Rs 34,999 or Rs 39,999 keeping it against the likes of OnePlus 5 and Xiaomi Mi Mix 2.
Motorola Moto Z2 Force Specifications and Features
The Moto Z2 Force was launched way back in July 2017, and after seven months the company is bringing the phone to the Indian market. Motorola' strategy is to be questioned here, but if they price it aggressively, the phone will attract the consumers out there.
Talking about the specifications of the Z2 Force, it was the company's flagship smartphone of 2017, so we get the top-tier Snapdragon 835 chipset inside. The phone was launched in a couple of variants with 4GB of RAM & 64GB of storage and 6GB of RAM & 128GB of internal storage. Rumours suggest that the latter might make its way to the Indian market, which is understandable as every flagship smartphone apart from the Nokia 8 under sub Rs 40,000 has 6GB of RAM.
The Z2 Force sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD display and the display has a ShatterShield layer on top, which makes it tough to break. Also, when it launched back then, it was the company's first dual camera smartphone, but now they have the Moto G5S Plus and Moto X4 smartphones already available in India. The Moto Z2 Force features two 12MP sensors at the back- a primary RGB sensor and a secondary monochrome sensor. The phone also offers a Portrait mode. At the front, there's a 5MP selfie camera.
Motorola is expected to launch the flagship smartphone with Android 8.0 Oreo in India, like the Moto X4 6GB RAM variant. The USP of the phone is the Moto Mods support at the back. To be noted, all the first generation Moto Mods can be used with the Moto Z2 Force. The phone has support for Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, 4G LTE, VoLTE, and NFC. It has a USB Type-C port at the back.
The only letdown for the Moto Z2 Force is the 2730mAh battery. To make the device thinner, Motorola sacrificed the battery capacity, but the company will be offering Moto TurboPower pack in India for free, which boots the battery capacity by 3490mAh.
