As it was rumoured since the beginning, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 will have a 5.7-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. This isn’t a surprising news because, since the start, it was said that the Redmi 5 would come with an 18:9 display to match the ongoing trend of bezel-less smartphones.

However, what’s surprising here is that the listing suggests that the device will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC. As per the listing, the Redmi 5 will come with an MSM8953 SoC, which indeed is the Snapdragon 625 chipset. There was an image leaked online showing specifications of a Redmi smartphone, and it was said to be the Redmi Note 5. Nevertheless, going by this report, the phone must be the Redmi 5 itself.

Earlier reports revealed that Xiaomi would power the Redmi 5 smartphone with Snapdragon 450 SoC, but a Snapdragon 625 SoC smartphone at an even cheaper rate will be much-appreciated move. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, as per the China Telecom listing. There might be other RAM and storage models as well.
