Two weeks ago, OnePlus rolled out the OxygenOS Open Beta 10 update for the OnePlus 3T users. And today, the company has announced the roll out of OxygenOS Open Beta 11 update for the OnePlus 3T users. Subsequently, the OnePlus 3 users will receive the Open Beta 20 update with the same fixes.
If you’ve already flashed an open beta update, you will receive the new update. Otherwise, you have to flash the open beta build first; then the update will arrive at your OnePlus 3/3T. That said, the open beta update includes features, which will be added to the stable version in future releases.
The OxygenOS Open Beta 20 update brings along some new features along with a bunch of bug fixes as well. Take a look at the complete changelog below:
Optimization:
Battery saver indication changed from orange status bar to a notification.
Optimised calculation method for data usage statistics, tracking is now more accurate.
Optimised expanded screenshot, now supports capture while gifs and videos are playing. (Experimental)
Visual effects improvements for Weather widget.
Bug Fixes:
Resolved various 3rd party app crashes.
Fixed Bluetooth device battery status wrongly displayed for non-supported devices.
Fixed Weather occasionally not being able to retrieve forecast data.
As you can see in the changelog, OnePlus has fixed the annoying Bluetooth issue, which shows a wrong battery status for the non-supported smartphones. Also, the update resolves the third party app crashes, experienced by various OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3 users.
Speaking about the optimisations, the battery saver indications has changed from an orange status bar indication to a notification, which is a very easier way to recognise whether the mode is activated or not.
The noticeable feature, however, is done to the expanded screenshots feature. Now, you can capture an enlarged screenshot a GIF or while playing videos as well. Although this feature at the moment is available as an experimental one, it will get stable in coming weeks.
That said, the update doesn't bring any user interface changes along with it. OnePlus says that the update is already rolling out for users on the Open Beta program.
