The craze for mobile internet in India has increased a lot in the recent past, thanks to the six-month-long free services from Reliance Jio. To match the trend, all the telecom operators in the country have started offering more and more data to its consumers at affordable rates, which is aggressively led by Bharti Airtel and Vodafone India.
While both Airtel and Vodafone offered free data for its postpaid customers, as a surprise in recent times, Idea Cellular has come up with two schemes providing better data for the postpaid users.
Under one scheme, Idea is offering a minimum of 1GB data with the limit reaching as high as 10GB data for the My Idea application users. The company is calling the offer as ‘Data Jackpot’ offer. However, a charge of Rs. 100 will be applicable for the users, and every postpaid customer of Idea have to claim the data before April 30, 2017. Customers can see a banner under the My Idea application.
Idea Cellular has also launched another scheme, which the company is touting as ‘Data Booster’ pack. Idea postpaid customers who are under the postpaid plan of Rs. 199 and above are eligible to get this offer.
The data booster is of Rs. 300 and provides 1GB data per day for a billing cycle. For now, the plan is available at a discounted price for first three months, and later on, Idea will charge Rs. 300 per month.
Currently, all the Idea postpaid customers with Rs. 499 plan and above can get the booster for free. For the users who are in between Rs. 349 to Rs. 499 plan will get the pack at a discounted price of Rs. 50. And for the users below Rs. 349 plan will get the data booster at just Rs. 100 per billing cycle for three months. Idea states that the data booster will be applicable till March 31, 2018.
Airtel is offering better data benefits with its myPlan Infinity plans, and Vodafone is doing the same with Vodafone RED postpaid plans. Airtel has better postpaid plans in the industry, while Idea has the best data booster plan in the industry. Furthermore, Idea is sweetening the deal by offering the booster pack at a discounted rate.
