Google didn't release the Android L developer preview for the LG Nexus 4 so it made all of us think that Android 4.4.4 KitKat was the last software update for the Nexus 4 even though cheaper priced Android One devices were promised the Android L support from Google. But looks like there's a reason to rejoice for all Nexus 4 users out there. According to information available on code.google.com, it appears that at least two Google employees were using Android L with build number "LRW52G" on their Nexus 4 devices. In comparison, the Nexus 5 with Android L operating system has "LRW66E" build.
The Nexus 4 features a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 8GB/16GB of internal storage space. This hardware is far better and faster than the Android One devices so there is still hope that Google might release Android L update for the Nexus 4.
