Alright people, the Moto E is here and it has come to the party with a price tag that will spoil the party for many. The Moto E has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 6,999 and the smartphone has a price tag that will help Motorola repeat the success of the Moto G in the budget segment. Nokia X (Rs 6,799)
Nokia had launched its first budget android based smartphone with the hopes of making inroads in the budget segment and it was doing pretty well too but the same cannot be said about its future. The Galaxy S Duos 2 is one of the few sub Rs 10,000 offerings from Samsung that has been holding its ground against the Chinese and Indian manufacturers for a while. It has a decent set of specs and the Samsung moniker lends good brand image to the device. However, with the launch of Moto G, the S Duos 2 is expected to tread on a rough road henceforth. Conclusion: All the above mentioned come across as good devices when seen without a Moto E by their side but the moment that comes, the better phones in the sub Rs 9,000 segment somehow start to look way overpriced. Motorola has hit the sweet spot with Moto E’s pricing and all these devices should be worried to say the least.
