Vodafone Idea More Than Doubles Data Benefit on Rs 3,999 Postpaid IR Pack After Airtel
Vodafone Idea (Vi) has revised the benefits of its Rs 3,999 postpaid International Roaming (IR) pack, significantly increasing data benefits for customers travelling abroad. The revised benefits will be applicable to the standard IR pack activated by Vi users travelling to countries such as Canada, Japan, Azerbaijan, Jordan, Zambia, and others. This move is similar to Airtel’s enhancement of its 30-day validity Rs 3,999 postpaid IR pack with increased data benefits in May this year, as reported by TelecomTalk.

Vi Revises Rs 3,999 Postpaid IR Pack

Under the revised offering, the Rs 3,999 postpaid IR pack now offers 30GB of data with a validity of 30 days, marking more than a doubling of the earlier data entitlement of 12GB. As of this writing, the pack also includes 1,500 minutes for outgoing local calls and calls to India, while incoming calls remain free across eligible destinations.

In addition, subscribers receive 100 outgoing SMS messages as part of the pack. Calls made to destinations outside the covered countries will be charged at Rs 35 per minute. The enhanced benefits apply to travel in destinations classified under Vi’s select country categories.

Unified Roaming Benefits

Notably, Vodafone Idea has also streamlined its international roaming benefits. Earlier, the Rs 3,999 pack offered differentiated benefits for Set 2 and Set 3 countries, with varying data and voice allowances depending on the destination. With the latest revision, the operator has unified benefits across select destinations, offering a single, standardised benefit structure.
