Tata Teleservices Limited Wins Business Standard’s ‘Most Innovative Organization of the Year’ Award

Tata Teleservices Limited was recognized as the Most Innovative Organization of the Year by Business Standard for its GSM brand Tata Docomo, which redefined the rules of the game in the mobile phone industry by introducing the first per second billing plan. After their initial resistance, its larger competitors followed suit.

The awards were chosen unanimously by a prestigious jury, which included CEO & Country Head of KKR India Advisors, Mr Sanjay Nayar, Chairman & Managing Director of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd, Mr.Arun Balakrishnan, Vice Chairman of Tata Consultancy Services, Mr. S Ramadorai, CEO & Country Managing Partner of Ernst & Young India, Mr Rajiv Memani and Chairperson of Thermax Limited, Ms. Meher Pudumjee. The jury was chaired by Mr Adi Godrej, Chairman of the Godrej Group

The award was received by Mr Anil Sardana, Managing Director, Tata Teleservices Limited receiving the award, Mr. Anil Sardana, Managing Director, Tata Teleservices Limited, quoted “Thank you! On behalf of the 70 million customers I accept this award. This is the fastest journey as we were the last entrant in August 2009, and there were already 8 established players in this space. So, we knew we had to do something refreshingly different and new! I congratulate my team as we have made sure that each quarter we do the new.”

    TATA (fake name) – you are either STUPID or ACTING STUPID !!
    You have given a fake email id (tata@docomo.com) when submitting your comment which shows how ir-responsible you can be as well!

    You are even IGNORANT that Tata DoCoMo hasnt launched in Delhi & that it uses IDEA network, which may be “patchy” – can you hold another company responsible for IDea’s coverage? Lastly you IGNORAMUS you cant even understand the difference between ROAMING COVERAGE & INNOVATIVE ORGANISATIONS !!

    Had a shock when I landed in Delhi today, no network coverage on my docomo phone. Finally picked up an idea signal, but this was so patchy. How can the best cell compaany not have service in the capital?

    i am comparing tata cc with my experience with other cos like sprint and tmo in the us and vodafone and idea in india, as well as cc experience with non telcos like tatasky, maruti, indusind bank, etc, tatadocomo is the worst cc.

    whatever, the cc it may b. docomo started the trend of per sec calling which revolutionished the mobile market. docmo vl always b remembered for it.
    similarly rel gsm vl b remembered for teh no roaming all locals plans.

    I have had plenty of experience dealing with sprint and tmobile in the US and vodafone and idea in India, and hence the conclusion among these cell cos, and my experience with cc in various nontelco companies like tatasky, Maruti, Indusind ba nk etc…

    CUSTOMER CARE n CUSTOMER … so I guess in your case it *could* be the worst.
    However SEVERAL MILLION customer dont seem to think so !!

    watt t hell is this i commented abt idea karnataka cheating its customers & u ppl moderated it even though i didn use any abusive language???? im getting doubt tat idea cellular itself acquired TT so u ppl moderated it… even u ppl started playing politics
