smsBlocker: An ‘Intelligent’ Software to Filter Unwanted & Spam SMS

In an exclusive talk with Telecom Talk, Mr. Sagar Bedmutha, CEO- Optinno Mobitech, claimed that they have studied more than 3,000 patterns of spam SMS to design the logic of smsBlocker.

From his findings, Mr. Bedmutha explained to us some of the interesting points as- how the spammers spam differently at local level and national level, how they ‘time’ the message (did you notice you get more spam on weekends regarding the restaurant offers or movies).

This new product has been optimized to work on the Symbian Operating System (OS). “In India, 60 per cent of mobile handsets are from Nokia, so we chose to make our software for the symbian OS used by Nokia. The smsBlocker can be installed on some of the Sony and Samsung mobiles too.” Bedmutha added.

Phone Warrior http://store.ovi.com/content/195043 , is free to use and can block most of the spam sms without configuring Blacklist etc.

Stop wasting money on this app visit use a symbian powered phone n install an application named “Spamkiller” on it.. it can block sms from blacklisted users for free

NDNC has failed miserably. That’s the reason people still get spam. And TRAI itself has accepted it and plans to launch a ‘Do Call’ registry.

There is an initiative by Telecom regulatory Authority of India, where you can register your number for DND. You just have to do the following:

For customers who would like to register/de-register their request for NDNC registry may dial 1909 or SMS to 1909 with keywords ‘START DND’ for registration and ‘STOP DND’ for de-registration

Nowadays, We are facing need of this types of software.
Unwanted calls and sms are breaking our privacy, so it is good effort by Sagar Bedmutha. The main thing to be noticed that it is affordable software at Just Rs. 99. with free lifetime license.
You can’t get any technical support on freeware but you will surely get technical support on these types of software.
