It is very rare when we report about wireless routers but I thought it would be good to write about this product. Netgear has recently launched a cool new wireless router named as Nighthawk X6 R8000 which is an industry first tri-band router with a data transfer speed of 3.2 Gbps (intranet). The Nighthawk X6 operates on two 5GHz bands and one 2.4GHz band simultaneously.

Netgear has used its proprietary technique dubbed as Beamforming+ which uses its 6 antennas to direct the Wi-Fi network directly towards your devices.

It has its own dual-core processor, four Gigabit LAN ports, a USB 3.0 port and a USB 2.0 port. The device is compatible with DLNA and AirPlay multimedia sharing standards so you can connect any storage device to it, forming the Nighthawk X6 into a multimedia hub. The device is listed on Netgear India website but its price isn't revealed. It is being sold in the US for $299.
