MTNL raises the FUP limit for select Broadband plans in Mumbai circle

We recently reported that BSNL will be revising pre FUP data speeds to 2Mbps for all broadband plans Pan India.

But BSNL is not the only PSU who is concerned about shrinking market share of broadband subscribers, even MTNL is trying to take timely steps to prevent losing its subscribers to private local ISPs. MTNL has increased the FUP limit for select 2 Mbps, 8 Mbps and 10 Mbps ADSL and VDSL broadband plans in Mumbai circle.

The details of revised FUP limit for 2 Mbps ADSL plans is given below:

Existing customers have the choice of migrating to the new plans or continuing with their existing plans. In combo plans Rent free Landline will be provided with no free monthly calls and outgoing calls will charged at Re.1 per pulse, however outgoing calls between 10 PM and 7 AM to any Mumbai or Delhi landline or mobile number will be absolutely free.

Existing customer migrating to FUP plan or customer booking new broadband in between a month will get Fair Usage Policy Quota on proportionate basis for the remaining days of the month. SMS/Email notification will be sent after reaching 80% and 100% FUP limit of your plan. Service Tax Extra as Applicable.
