Because Idea is giving 3G and BSNL is giving 2G in the name of 3G… :P

Its the other way around. Villagers get more speed on BSNL network, while most urban users face speed problem and network congestion due to large no: of users.

In my home indoor signal strength of bsnl 3g is weak but idea 3g is very good. But in my uncle’s home idea 3g signal is weak in both indoor and outdoor. But bsnl 3g have full signal strength + good speed. Its a village area. Bsnl must improve and give a tight competition to avoid. The QoS of bsnl must improve.

Why buy a 21.6 Mbps dongle when you will not get above 6-7Mbps PRACTICAL Speeds!! you can make do with your 7.2 Mbps dongles.

Heard that reliance jio and airtel is launching 4G in kerala next year april and june respectively. If common people in kerala want these kind of speed at high cost. 2mbps is enough for me if there is no unlimited plans. Now i am using Reliance cdma in an unlocked cdma data card. They are giving 1GB 3g like data @ just 94 rupees. I am getting a downloading speed of around 100KB/sec. That is enough for me.

I have read the same news on manorama daily today.it also states that airtel and reliance jio will establish wired line 4g broadband in kerala.

I think wired broadband is cheaper compared to gsm data services as gsm operators increase data pack rates from time to time.

Apart of this cdma is still cheaper now as reliance provides 1gb evdo data each month for 6 months for 94 rs.bsnl provide unlimited evdo at 55/day and 750/month in kerala.and dont know about mts and tata.

But I dont know from where I can get unlocked cdma datacard which supports evdo and 1x of all cdma operators.if anyone use unlocked cdma which support all cdma operators.please find some time to reply to this.
And any one using or heard about unlocked cdma evdo data card with wifi tethering enabled?
Can I unlock mts mblaze ultra wifi myself or from market?

Its not wired broadband, its wireless broadband Reliance and Airtel going to launch.

You can get BSNL EVDO modem for just Rs 950 + Rs 500 talktime from any BSNL office. The Rs 55 is for 1 day unlimited, but in reality it is 2 days.

Why you want to use Relaince? BSNL 3G is just Rs 125 if you do recharge from balance.

It is wireless broadband. Just check airtel website for details. Airtel 4G is currently 100% wireless broadband. You can use Wireless modem for computer or get a USB dongle from Airtel 4G.

It is not wired. It is wireless. We can use dongles to access 4G signals.

Me to saw it in news paper. I think its true. Reliance Jio was planing a launch by December – January in India. It will take only few months for them to expand to other cities. Last time Docomo launched 3G for first time in India, kochi and trivandrum was also included.

Airtel is definitely coming to Kerala after Mumbai and Delhi launch.

The reason why we need 4G is because we don’t have real broadband in our country. The world average broadband speed is around 10Mbps and we don’t even have a proper 2Mbps. Also we need high speed unlimited plans like 10mbps unlimited or 20 mbps unlimited for Rs 1000 or less.

@Tharun I second you. With VDSL,10/20 mbps true unlimited @Rs.1000/1500(excluding service tax :) is competitive and no one should go ga-ga over profit and etc.
Coz BSN,MTNL actually do profit though it does add to private players’ account. :)
