Research In Motion today announced the availability of network independent BlackBerry Storm and BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphones in India which will be available through Redington’s retail distribution network across India.
The BlackBerry Storm and BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphones will be priced at Rs 20,500 and Rs 14,990 respectively.

Blackberry’s even though they are not network locked, they always locked based on the plan, we can only use the features that are enabled by the plan. I have 299 plan which enables unlimited email and IM, and this disables the browser completely, cannot open browser at all.
