Tata Communications (Formerly known as VSNL), long distance communications and enterprise internet services provider, will use Cisco System’s newly launched routers for deploying its next-generation ethernet services in India.
Tata Communications is amongst the first set of customers for Cisco’s new product that provides higher capacity to handle surging data and video use.
The new technology would efficiently deliver new communication services throughout its nationwide footprint.
Cisco’s new routers ASR 9000 will play a pivotal role in the continued delivery of world-class services to customers and would help Tata Communications to meet its growing bandwidth needs as it continues to add advanced products and services.
It is important to note that Tata Communicationshas been a partner with Cisco for a long time and new range of devices would help the company compete with data serviceproviding rivals such as Bharti Airtel, BSNL, MTNL and Sify .
Last week Tata Communications said thatit planned a slew of measures to drive down network costs and focus on productivity gains.

CDMA is Though Most Powerful Than GSM, It Can’t Be told That GSM is Not Reliable, Even MTS Is Operating Under 850MHz CDMA Band, Sometimes We Can’t Able To Hear Anything Whereas The Maintenance Of Servers Only Determines The Service Quality

Buddy As I’m Staying In Karnataka, I Can Give Information About Karnataka Circle. But I Don’t Know About Andhra Pradesh Circle
jijo June 5, 2011 at 10:21 pm
@Amit.G
if you are looking for quality in voice, go for CDMA. No GSM operator can match its superior LAND LINE like reliability..if you look around, you can see at least one GSM user yelling out “Hello hello..(then looks in the mobile to check how many bars….then wonders why this crap even when the network is full!!)Say good bye to this unreliable GSM.

Man, I’m Disgusted With BSNL Network, Always Congested, Network Reloads After 5 Hours. Voice Quality Is Too Bad When Compared To Any Operator.

According to a news Panasonic has developed a 60 GHz multi-gigabit wireless technology that is optimized for mobile devices and can transmit mobile data at rates that are 20-times faster than current LANs, while only drawing just one watt of power from the battery.
This multi-gigabit wireless communication technology consists of a 60GHz transceiver and a baseband processor which are integrated individually onto CMOS semiconductor chips through circuit technologies optimized formobile devices.
Up till today, only the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands have been used in high-speed wireless communication for mobile devices.
>The world’s lowest noise signal generator (-95dBc/Hz at 1MHz offset frequency) enables high sensitivity wireless performance.
>Forward error correction (FEC) code is indispensable to maintain reliability in high-speed wireless communication. In this technology, the circuit size of decoding block is 30% smaller than that of Panasonic’s conventional architectures by optimizing decoding circuits. This reduction results in lower power consumption.

Ya ur rite, Idea is planning to roll out 3G pan india
Arjun Chandrashekar June 4, 2011 at 8:55 pm
@Amit.G
The Status Of Karnataka is Given Below
1.AIRTEL-Market Leader Of Karnataka With 16,000+BTS, Coverage Expansion is in Progress(25% Congested, QoS Is Bad)
2.VODAFONE-Next To AirTel Having More Than 14,000+BTS, Coverage Expansion is in Progress( 20% Congested QoS Is Ok) 3.IDEA-Coverage Leader Of Karnataka, Having 17,000+BTS, Coverage Expansion is in Progress (Crystal Clear Network,QoS Is Good)
4.BSNL-Coverage is Excellent Having 22,000+BTS, (100%Congested, QoS Is Worse)
5.Aircel-Coverage is Good, Covered More Than 50% Of Karnataka, Coverage Expansion Is in Progress(20% Congested, QoS is Average)
6.TATA DOCOMO-Useless Operator Of Karnataka, Covered More Than Aircel, Coverage Expansion Has Been Stopped(50%Congested,QoS is Worst).
6.Reliance-Coverage is as Excellent as AirTel, Idea, Vodafone (10%Congested, QoS is Weak)
7.UNINOR-Covered 35% Of Karnataka(Service is Excellent)
Arjun Chandrashekar June 4, 2011 at 8:32 pm
@Amit.G
Ya I’m Also Using Idea Cellular The Service Is Quite Excellent Compared To Other Operators. I Came To Know That Idea Will Launch 3G in Karnataka by Tying Up With AirTel, This Information Told Me an Idea Cellular Showroom Person Working @ SouthEnd Circle Bangalore
Amit.G June 4, 2011 at 8:20 pm
@Arjun Chandrashekar
ya may be. I ported my old docomo number to idea today. It took almost 4 days. Idea is offering really fantastic network quality. Even airtel vodafon score low when compared wit idea. Clarity is also equivalent to uninor. Now using uninor only for 38rs pack.
Arjun Chandrashekar June 4, 2011 at 7:56 pm
@Amit.G
This Might Be Caused Due To The Erostic Mistake Of The Network Analyst Of Tata Teleservices. For Example BSNL Was Goofed Up By AirTel Due To Irresponsible Of Webmaster Of BSNL
Amit.G June 4, 2011 at 7:44 pm
Friends just now one confusing event occurd. I got a call to my tata doc number from tata doc number(fancy 9036002265) when i received the IVR said HI THIS CALL IS FROM TATA DOCOMO PLEASE PRESS 1 TO CONTINUE. when i pressed 1 suddenly airtel music started playing and it told about tata’s new offer and call got disconnected. Didn understand how come tata play airtel music that too new one in tier IVR And advertise about some offer.
Ashish June 4, 2011 at 7:18 pm
how to use it in the phone or it is possible with iphone 4
jan June 4, 2011 at 7:05 pm
It is not that ’2G’ radiations are harmful…
They said that ‘Using of Mobile Phones’ is carcinogenic…
And …Similarly..the devices working on WiMAX wave are also ‘carcinogenic’…
som June 4, 2011 at 6:55 pm
why all the good thing are in kerala–EVDO with wide coverage,now Wimax????why why?
if 2G radiations are ‘possibly carcinogenic’(WHO),what is the effect of Wimax wave?is not it stronger?
TREMERIN DSOUZA June 4, 2011 at 6:31 pm
@Mayur Hawaldar
yes bsnl has pan india licence for 4g. (execpt MUMBAI&DELHI where MTNL has)
jan June 4, 2011 at 6:21 pm
There is no much difference in rates when compared with 3G…
The Rs. 750 Plan provides unlimited usage at 512 kbps..
While other monthly plans are of limited usage (with speed from 512 kbps to 2mbps) as:
Rs. 220/- : 400 MB
Rs. 350/- : 1.0 GB
Rs. 750/- : 4.0 GB
Mayur Hawaldar June 4, 2011 at 5:48 pm
bsnl has pan india licence for wimax? piz clarify
Ganesh Srinivasan June 4, 2011 at 5:20 pm
The rates appear to be cheaper than 3G rates? Rs 750 for unlimited and starting at Rs 220 etc. Can some pundits explain please – the tech aspects and hence its impact on commercial rates
Riju June 4, 2011 at 3:43 pm
it is already launched in kannur so many months back.speed is very good.
Mahmood Junaid June 4, 2011 at 2:39 pm
