if you are using ur number on roaming and paying huge bills than please switch to tata indicom (cdma) please be careful dont go for docomo gsm as both services have same plans but in case of gsm you wont get docomo network every where so may not get benefit.
you can opt tata indicom.they have roam free diet-299 bill plan. where you would get all incoming call free+ 400min. local calling free+ 300 min.std calling free.all this would cost you rs 299+ service tax only.another main advantage is that you would get maximum network conectivity in all over india. but be sure that you would get all this benefit available in cdma only.
hope your problem will get solved.

hi, its a very nice plan for those who frequently go in roaming circle. incoming is free in BSNL circle. hence enjoy free incoming all over India except Delhi and Mumbai as these areas MTNL operates. Few sms stvs also work while in roaming. Its great plan.

    Hi Evryone..
This plan is just attractive nothing else.
bsnl offers roam free plan with all message benefits n data benefits and also wuth other benefits

” But in real it don’t exists at all..
and also the employees are not qualified enough , some ppl says all plan work with roam free plan. but in actual it wont work. BSNL quality for me is shit seriously.. i fed up of his diplomatic answer and if we talk about customer care of bsnl , i dont why they are meant this department ppl out in customer care they dont even know what customer means.. they just hang the phone down or nvr pick up.. I’m right now in chennai n using my earlier number which was of bsnl n activated bsnl roam free plan for few days evrythng was good.. but now its pathetic sms plan wont work .. data plan sometimes run sometimes doesnt.. following tis own way.. n also i want to make all bsnl number to free calls frm my mobile.. to talk to my loved ones.. but my so confused that it will work or not.. BEcoz this is a shit.. total shit bsnl.. and i know bsnl dont care about it..

One Special Tariff Voucher and the other is Plan Voucher
Special Tariff Voucher 150 giving unlimited onnet Local & STD for 7 days
Plan voucher 150 giving this roaming incoming free plan
People will be confused to buy these 150 vouchers , because retailer can recharge the customers account with wrong 150 voucher
Already lots of people lost their money due to these change of plan by BSNL w.e.f.21-03-2012 and retailers also confused

I completely agree with you. BSNL website is very confusing.

Why dont they introduce online recharge then and there itself like Eg Tata Docomo
    or vodafone for that matter.

Why this confusing statement of ***+- of Rs. 3 for circle….???

DONT KNOW WHEN THINGS WILL BE UNIFIED and IMPROVED…..

Hope this info helps, In hyd the unlimited on-net is priced at Rs151.No body knows until we keep on calling customer care or visit CSC with very minimum hope.

Also, No sign of Roam free plans yet.

Local and STD call for 7 Days is STV-150 not Plan Voucher-150, so problem at Person or Retailer who are selecting that not at BSNL.

The system is perfectly configure for Plan Vouchers and STV options. Roam Free Plan Voucher is launched and effective from 1st May,2012 not in March 2012. So before recharging, customers should opt Plan Voucher option not STV or Top-Up if they want this new plan.

To avoid confusion, Roam Free Plan Voucher cost is also different (as per +-Rs.3) in some circle like in TN and Chennai its Rs.153 –> http://tamilnadu.bsnl.co.in/cm/adcirculars/Roam_Free_New.pdf

Sanjay ji….one kind help, could you please let me know the recharge details for Hyd…as in Hyd there is no proper channel to address our concerns….when the plans are available all India basis, BSNL hyd is tooo typical…earlier it did not release the 3G Combo data plan…I complained to cc, pgportal, etc..but of no use they simply close the case with one line lame answer not relating to query…. without reading the customer question properly. Also, from past three days I m contacting cc to know the details of newly introduced 3G packs for Hyderabad,,,but no proper unified reply…one CC says available(with lots of variation) other says not available..etc…hence Mr Sanjay Bafna, I request to please use your good office to address this recharge value concern. TT can put up statewise Recharge values directly…..we loyal readers/visitors oF TT website, request this kind return gesture….thank you.

BSNL website is not updated yet
it still shows STV 150 – Unlimited local & std on-net for 7 days

BSNL website is updated with perfect and correct info as we shared here.
I guess u have seen just “New SIM Validity” which is 7 days! Check Plan Validity not SIM Validity :)

Initial Plan Validity in days is 90 Days.

Who told you that Roaming in MTNL will be free. You should have read terms & conditions before you gone for it. BSNL clearly says “Free while roaming in BSNL Network, in other case Rs. 0.012/Sec will be charged.”

    Did you know?

BSNL deployed (900 Mhz License) 68,000 owned 2G & 3G BTS in PAN India (except Delhi & Mumbai). BSNL 3G has strongly available/covered in 800 Cities & towns in India.

Till now none of the operators doesn’t covered 800 Cities & towns in India like our BSNL 3G.

DoCoMO deployed (1800 Mhz PAN India License) 7,000 BTS in PAN India (except some circles like Delhi, J& K, north-east, etc.

Remaining all the areas DoCoMo using ICR – Aircel & idea networks.

    A 900 MHz enabled – BTS can cover/penetrate maximum Up-to 25KM radius.

An 1800 Mhz enabled – BTS can only cover/ penetrate maximum up-to 4KM radius.

In RoTN Circle alone, DoCoMo using Aircel’s 900 Mhz (More than 9,000 BTS), otherwise it will be very difficult to sustain.

Already more congested in Aircel – RoTN network, because Aircel has 2 Crore Customers in RoTN Circle alone, along with DoCoMo has 20 to 30 lakh GSM customers also using ICR – Aircel’s 9000 BTS.

For Coverage wise BSNL is equal to airtel, reliance, Vodafone, idea.

    Big Minus in BSNL:

Customer Care, Marketing (Product & Services – More visibility) is the only thing missing in BSNL, otherwise it will be No.1 in India.

That’s BSNL have losing its revenue (last three FY2008-09, 2009-10, 2010-11 net loss) around 10,000 Crore.
BSNL’s Loss for the FY2011-12 will expect minimum 8,000 Crore.

Till today, in every meeting inside in (airtel, reliance, Vodafone, idea, DoCoMo), they are more considers BSNL’s Move (products, offers & services).

    Why?

Above networks are well-known about big elephants (BSNL & MTNL) in telecom industry.

Strong: 90% of Land-line customers in India using only BSNL & MTNL network, remaining 10% users only using private networks.

Strong: 70% of BB users in India are using (BSNL & MTNL) network; remaining 30% of users depends on private networks.

Hidden facts of Free Incoming on Tata Docomo-

    * Valid only on Tata Docomo network.

    - This is exactly same as BSNL on paper, but when you will roam with both operators(BSNL & Tata Docomo), you would find BSNL is far better than Tata Docomo.

    1. Availability- BSNL is not in Delhi & Mumbai. Docomo is not in Assam, Delhi, J & K, North- east.

    2. Network strength (2G)- Docomo is very weak in North, East & West India (as per my personal experience, as I am its user since 19/08/2009- 978 days- checked on *121*12#); whereas BSNL is near to Telecom Trio (Airtel, Idea & Vodafone).

    3. Network strength (3G)- No one private operator is a rival of BSNL. So, leave it.

    3. Roaming agreement- BSNL’s agreement is with only MTNL for Delhi & Mumbai; but Docomo’s agreement is with at least 2 operators (Aircel & Idea- as I faced)- even for those circles, where Docomo’s own network is available.
It Means that, you may not get Docomo’s network, even in presence of Docomo (due to discontinuous or weak signal).

You can not conclude about harassment during roaming on Docomo(due to its very cheap own network)& cost of roaming on Docomo.
Because, Docomo is not as same as seen in ads.

    @Sathish

SATHISH – you seem ignorant of the fact that TATA DOCOMO offers ROAM FREE plans on its postpay versions of 299/499/799 with NO ADDITIONAL PACK / TOPUP CHARGES. Also there is no cap / Fair Usage Policy on these plans. Its offered on postpaid for those who wish to avail (prepay users can migrate into postpaid and avail the benefits as well).

    >> I think no one ready to provide “roam free” plan except BSNL, Long back BSNL Mobile had introduced Unlimited Roaming Incoming Calls free by RC13, later it was withdrawn (due to private networks had force to stopped).

    Arul: Yes its true.

In terms of overall performances and services is RoTN BSNL is much better than Chennai BSNL.

Because, In Chennai BSNL have suffering from Politicians / private networks peoples have always trying to demolish BSNL Network.

    For e.g:

    1. F**king Maran Brothers(Sun Network’s Robbery)used more than 1000 BSNL Connections(mini exchange) without paying single rupee to Chennai BSNL by forcing BSNL top employees)Maran Brothers(sun Network) is like non-curable “cancer” disease for the state of TN.

    2. Aircel and Maxis deal was done (by indirectly invest 800 Crores(black money) to Sun Network)

    3. If any BSNL employees doing any favour to private network means govt should put him into life long Tihar jail, and must cancel his family citizenship of India. the punishment should lead him to suicide; then only our nation should save from culprits.

    4. We can Say like “Cancer Disease” is equal to Maran Brothers, so that TN peoples need awareness.

    5. Punishment to BSNL employees (culprits) is the only way to save our nation’s owned network from private (aircel, airtel, Vodafone, idea, Tata, Reliance, etc.,)

    6. Last one year Chennai BSNL is trying their level best.

    7. In India, all PSU’s Slowly Dying due to politicians / culprits / Private Company

e.g: Air India, BSNL & MTNL, All India Radio, Doordarshan, Indian Railway etc.,

Our Next-generation peoples – living in India is very difficult among these Culprits, Politicians, etc.,

Only One Anna-Hazare is not enough for India.

    Hello Kunal,
Thing before you talk. Can u get network coverage in rural with lowest cost?
you check tariff of all providers.

BSNL is the only operator whose coverage is available in the every corner of our country,BSNL is the only honest operator, and tariff is also good comparetivly among the others,so bsnl is BEST….

Yes, BSNL provides coverage almost in every nook & corner of the country, and I rarely find my other SIM having network & BSNL not having coverage in my Dual SIM mobile, unfortunately, this excludes my home (in chennai). The coverage is bad and c.care is too bad & never respond to my complaints!! Now coming to the honesty part, I don’t think BSNL is completely honest, I was charged 30 Rs for some GITA pack, which i never subscribed, and when I called the C.care, they cut the call stating “the call is not clear” after listening to my issue, that too after a really Long wait (sitting in a Railway station, where I got Signal !!!). BSNL is too bad in exploiting “Blackout Days”. While other operators only charge for SMSes, and the call tariffs remain as usual, BSNL cancels even Call charges benefits on STVs on these days, including FnF !!
