Airtel is not in the race with other service provider. Airtel is such a big company but do not have any affordable plan for roaming, sms, call . Its a big shame for airtel. Your plans are not affordable for students and general public. Please launch some better and cheaper plans . Please look at small companies like Aircel and Idea they have much better

AIRTEL does not need to be “in the race” with other service provider, it is already the LEADER. Beside it is not a “Cheap” company (like Uninor, Tata Docomo, BSNL etc). It is a QUALITY service provider and does not need customers who are “Students” and “general public” – its customers are CORPORATES and BUSINESS PERSONS. If you feel IDEA and AIRCEL are “much better” then use them … dont use AIRTEL. If you want SERVICE then you need to PAY for it – this is my personal view, basis the QUALITY OF SERVICE (QOS) that AIRTEL provides – when I compare to UNINOR / TATA DOOCMO / BSNL and other cheap providers.

Airtel has a DAILY OPTION (Rs 5) and a MONTHLY OPTION (RS 75).
TATA DOCOMO does not have any Rs 46 pack – that was withdrawn in 2012, now they have Rs 252 (which is a huge cost if you are roaming for 2-3 days!!!)

As far as i know, there are restrictions if you enroll in this offer. You cant recharge with currencies less than 500Rs… And you wont get full talk time benifits unless you charge 1000 and above… This is what I came to know from Customer Care.. Please Confirm.

Go for TRAVEL MATE 499 plan: gives 50,000 sec free (Local/STD/Roaming) with 200 SMS free (loc/STD/roam) so you can roam freely – without having to “ACTIVATE” any pack or remember to deactivate once you are back etc.
