Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus With Bigger 10.1-inch Screen, AI Face Unlock and 8620mAh Battery Launched

The Chinese OEM and smartphone maker Xiaomi has launched the Mi Pad 4 Plus in China today. Like the name of this new device would point out, the Mi Pad 4 Plus features a 10.1-inch display with the same 16:10 aspect ratio in contrast to the 8-inch screen which we got to see on the Mi Pad 4. Apart from the enhanced and bigger screen the Mi Pad 4 Plus packs front-facing fingerprint sensor, a massive 8,620mAh battery, and AI-powered Face Unlock capabilities. The design on the Mi Pad 4 Plus remains highly similar to the Mi Pad 4’s design. The tab is also likely going to be a decent performer given that it packs the Snapdragon 660 SoC as its processor.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus specifications

The first thing that catches the attention in the Mi Pad 4 Plus is the 10.1-inch WUXGA display with a 1920x1200 pixels resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio. The device comes powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, and it has an Adreno 512 GPU for graphics. In case of memory, the tablet sports a 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 64GB/ 128GB of internal storage depending on the variant. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus is a dual-SIM (Nano) device which boots MIUI 10 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo.

Moving on to camera and imaging department, the tablet sports a 13MP OV13855 sensor with f/2.0 aperture. In addition to this, there is a 5MP selfie camera with the same f/2.0 aperture. The tablet draws power from the massive 8,620mAh battery with the connectivity options including 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, and a USB Type-C port.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus bears a price tag of CNY 1,899 (roughly Rs. 19,300) in China for the 64GB option and it has been priced at CNY 2,099 (around Rs. 21,300) for the variant with 128GB of internal storage. The sales for this new device will start at 10 am CST (7:30 am IST) on August 16, and there are going to be Black and Gold colour variants up for grabs while the sale kicks off.
