Xiaomi Launches Mi Band 4 With Bigger AMOLED Display and Better Battery Life

Xiaomi has not only established its stronghold in the smartphone markets around the world, but the Chinese manufacturer is actually growing in leaps and bounds when it comes to other electronic gadgets. Xiaomi has been launching a high selling product from quite some years now, which has gained massive success in a lot of markets, including India. The product that we are talking about is the Xiaomi Mi Band. Now we already know how successful the Mi Band 3 has been in India and China both, to top it off, Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 today which comes with a lot of upgrades. So, without further ado, let’s check out what the new Mi Band 4 has to offer.




Mi Band 4 Specifications and Features

To recall, the Mi Band 3 was launched last year in May, and now Xiaomi has launched the Mi Band 4 in China today. In India, Xiaomi has sold more than one million units of the Mi Band 3. With this new launch, Xiaomi will be offering better hardware and improved features. The Mi Band 4 will provide a 39.9% bigger display, and it will use an AMOLED colour display. The Mi Band 4 also sports a 2.5D scratch-resistant tempered glass on the top.

The Mi Band 4 also comes with NFC support, and it is also a different variant of the Mi Band 4 altogether, owing to which it can be used to make payments through AliPay and WeChat Pay. The fitness band is also water resistant up to 5ATM or 50 metres. It also sports an upgraded 6-axis high-precision sensor to intelligently recognize different type of swimming strokes, including Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly stroke, and Medley. It can also track 6 different sport modes like indoor running, outdoor running, exercise, swimming, cycling, and walking. The Mi Band 4 offers upgrades over the previous Mi Band 3 in terms of display and battery. A lot of users of Mi Band 3 had expected for a better display and improved battery life, which Xiaomi has done in the Mi Band 4.

Mi Band 4 Battery Life and Pricing

The NFC variant of the Mi Band 4 offers 15 days of battery life whereas the standard variant of the Mi Band 4 can last up to 20 days on a single charge. The Mi Band 4 also extends support for the Xiao AI voice assistant using which the users can control Xiaomi’s IoT products. The display on the Mi Band 4 is an AMOLED one with 240 by 120 pixels resolution. As for the pricing, the standard and NFC variants of the Mi Band 4 are priced at CNY 169 (approx. USD 24.5 /Rs 1,700) and CNY 229 (approx. USD 33 / Rs 2,300) respectively.
