It seems honeymoon is over, hard time for mobile users! Following Airtel's surprise move to hike prepaid tariff in certain circles, Vodafone is also joining the gang with Idea and Aircel.
Currently Vodafone is the 3rd largest mobile operator in India on the basis of subscribers, Idea stands 4th, Aircel is at 5th position.
Vodafone will increase the tariff upto 20% for prepaid users in most of the circles, similar steps taken by Airtel, India's largest mobile operator. This move will push the customers to use power vouchers always.
Experts welcome the move, as it will add more profit to the balance sheet of the operators. They also predict that new operators will also follow it, sooner or later.
