India's leading GSM Mobile service operator Vodafone has been recognized as the only service provider with 100% accessibility in Kolkata and West Bengal telecom circle.
In a recent report published by TRAI on comparative performance by telecom service providers, Vodafone Essar (East) has 100% accessibility. Percentage of calls with good voice quality stands at 97.4% with 0.6% of call drop rate.The report does a comparative analysis of all the telecom players in Kolkata and West Bengal.
Vodafone Essar has got the largest network in the state of West Bengal with 7737 BTSs and 9.1 million subscribers (COAI September 2009). The outdoor network coverage for Kolkata and West Bengal Telecom circle is currently at 100% and 98.4% respectively.
