Telenor, the Norway-based telecom company, has a very small 4G base in the country, but there’s no fact denying that the operator is expanding their 4G presence very quickly than we expected. Now, Telenor India rolls out 4G services in Hyderabad with attractive data offerings.
The company informed this news on their official Twitter handle quoting as: ‘#Hyderabad, it’s time to celebrate. #Telenor #4G is now in your city. #TelenorIndia #FullVasool’. A Twitter user asked about which part of Hyderabad they are covering 4G services, and the company replied as the entire Hyderabad now has Telenor 4G base, which is a good thing to see.
Another interesting part is Telenor is offering all the current plans for Hyderabad sector as well, which means that users can enjoy unlimited 4G data for one day at just Rs. 11. 1GB of 4G data costs Rs. 97 in Hyderabad as well. Currently, Telenor has the best 4G plans in the whole industry, when compared to other telecoms such as Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, and indeed they are better than Reliance Jio.

However, even continuing to expand their services to various circles, everything is not going well for the company as they are reportedly planning to sell their Indian unit to Bharti Airtel. Yesterday, a report came out from Hindustan Times said that Airtel has almost reached its final stages of discussion Telenor to purchase their Indian unit.
A final report on the acquisition will take place on January 24 in an Airtel board meeting, where the company will discuss their third quarter results. Telenor might be making this decision especially because of the increased competition in the Indian telecom sector in recent times. After the entrance of Reliance Jio, we have seen some incredible change in various telecom operators.
According to TRAI’ speed test reports, Telenor is leading the average upload speeds chart, which is another good thing for the player. Are you the user of Telenor in Hyderabad? Have you shifted to Telenor 4G services? If yes, please let us know your experience in the comments section below.
