Tecno Spark 4 Air, Spark Go Smartphones With Helio A22 SoC Launched in India: Price, Specifications

Tecno Mobiles, the sub-brand of Transsion Holdings today launched two new smartphones under its Spark lineup in India. The smartphones in question are Tecno Spark Go and Tecno Spark 4 Air, and both of them are entry-level phones priced less than Rs 7,000. Both the phones come in a single variant and they're powered by MediaTek Helio A22 chipset which we earlier saw on the Redmi 6A smartphone. The Spark Go is priced at Rs 5,499 and it offers 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, whereas the Spark 4 Air comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage at Rs 6,999. Tecno also confirmed that both its new phones would be available via offline stores across the country.




Tecno Spark Go: Specifications and Features

The Tecno Spark Go is an interesting smartphone for the asking price of Rs 5,499. The phone rocks a 6.1-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and teardrop notch on top of the screen. Underneath, the phone has a MediaTek Helio A22 chipset which features a quad-core CPU with all the cores clocked at 2.0GHz. The phone comes in a single variant with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. There's a dedicated microSD card slot as well for storage expansion. The Spark Go takes on the Xiaomi Redmi Go smartphone which is priced at Rs 4,499.

The Tecno Spark Go runs Android 9 Pie-based HiOS 5 out of the box with a lot of customisations. As for the cameras, we get an 8MP single shooter on the rear side with f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash. That said, Tecno even included an AI-based Portrait mode inside the camera app. The camera app also offers other useful features like AI Beauty mode, AR Stickers and Wide Selfie mode.

The phone is backed by a 3000mAh battery which should last for a single day considering the HD+ display on the front. Tecno is promising over 15 hours of music playback with the smartphone. There's a Micro USB port at the bottom of the phone.

Tecno Spark 4 Air: Specifications and Features

Moving onto the Tecno Spark 4 Air, the phone rocks a 6.1-inch HD+ screen on the front, with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 85% screen-to-body ratio. Tecno says the screen on the Spark 4 Air can get up to 450nits bright. Underneath, this smartphone is also powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 chipset and it comes in a single variant with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage. Like the Tecno Spark Go, the Spart 4 Air also has a dedicated microSD card for storage expansion.

Cameras on the Spark 4 Air include a 13MP primary shooter on the back with f/1.8 aperture and a VGA secondary sensor. The camera app comes bundled with AI Portrait Mode, AI Beauty mode and there's a dedicated Night mode as well. For selfies, Tecno has added a 5MP shooter on the front and the camera app offers wide-angle selfie mode.

Similar to the Tecno Spark Go, the Spark 4 Air also features a 3000mAh battery. Tecno has also added a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner on the Spark 4 Air.

Tecno Spark 4 Air, Spark Go: Pricing and Availability

Both the Tecno Spark Go and Spark 4 Air come in a single variant. The Spark Go with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage will retail for Rs 5,499, whereas the Spark 4 Air with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage can be purchased for Rs 6,999. Tecno confirmed that both the phones could be purchased in two colour options- Nebula Black and Royal Purple. As mentioned, the phones are already up for sale via offline stores across the country.
