Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) has reported a net loss of Rs 339 crore for the nine months ended December 31, 2015, as against a net loss of Rs 451 crore during the same period last year.

Income from operations for the nine months stood at Rs 2,239 crore, a year on year growth of 4.3% and EBITDA during the same period stood at Rs 649 crore, up 36.3% over the corresponding period of last year. The reduction in loss is attributable primarily to the improvement in EBITDA.

“The improvement in profitability is attributed to the company’s several operational initiatives as well as reduction in Interconnect Usage Charges due to changes in TRAI Interconnect (IUC) regulations,” the company said in a statement.
EBITDA for the quarter was Rs 220 crore, a growth of 41.0% over the same period last year.

They are certainly recovering. They should either acquire more spectrum assets so that they become fit for consolidation. TTML used to be one of the best services in Mumbai Mah and Goa. It still isnt that bad. Cdma is very good. Gsm in Mumbai is a bit patchy. But they provide good 2G. And Photon is excellent. I have been using is for almost a couple of years now and have a very good experience.

My friend uses photon max as her primary Internet in her home(she’s not a heavy downloader and needs the net shared with her younger brother) as reliance CDMA gives lame speeds, reliance doesn’t have 3g in Goa, and avoid has expensive 3g packs, so photon max is the only solution. I hope Tata stays till jio brings some good dongle packs.

Indeed. What’s with Tata 3G in Goa? On a recent trip, I found it at completely random places, but seriously lacking coverage in major towns/cities.

Docomo has a lot of black spots in Goa. Only idea and Vodafone have the most coverage in Goa.
In terms of coverage,
–>idea has the best coverage
–>then Vodafone
–>last BSNL
People don’t use Airtel much because Airtel didn’t have a 3g license in Maharashtra and Goa until just recently.
