Tata DOCOMO today announced the launch of Video Ringtone service for its GSM customers across circles.

To avail this service, customer is required to register to the service by visiting http://tatadocomo.vringo.com on his/her phone’s mobile browser which will be their homepage for managing video ringtone collection.

Once the customer has successfully registered to the service, they can immediately dig in and start searching for new video ringtones called as Vringos. Post registration, customers will see a series of Vringo categories to browse video ringtones. When they like a Vringo, they can just click and “download” the same.

Vringo service costs only Re 1/day (auto renewal) which includes access to Tata DOCOMO’s huge video ringtones library. Other than the daily subscription charge, customer will pay data charges for downloading videos from the portal as per his/her data plan. Vringo portal will allow users to download high quality videos from various genres like Bollywood, funny videos, devotional videos, popular television campaigns (ads), etc and set the same as their video ringtones.

Tata Docomo claims in a official statement that new service is First-of-its-kind service available only with Tata DOCOMO, powered by Hungama. Hence state run operators MTNL and BSNL both offering the similar service (Video Ring-tone) from last many years over their Mobile Portal.
