Tata Docomo Launches GSM service in BiharTata Docomo, the joint venture between Tata Teleservices (TTSL) and Japan’s leading mobile operator NTT Docomo, has launched its GSM service in Bihar. However there is still no official word from the company, though they have already listed the plan details and customer care numbers on their official site under the circle or service area name Bihar.

There are 8 existing telecom operators in Bihar they are BSNL, Reliance, Airtel, Tata Indicom, Idea Cellular, Aircel, Vodafone and MTS India.




The plan details and tariff structures are the same as in other circles. It has announced a novel “PAY-FOR-WHAT-YOU-USE” model for subscribers in Bihar telecom circles, with a pulse of one second, and a pricing of just 1 paisa per second with the initial launch. The prepaid customers will also have free Missed Call Alerts and free Voicemail service (to activate Voicemail service, SMS ‘ACT VM’ to 121).

The company’s pan-India service rollout, which was kicked off in late June, will be completed this year itself after commercial launch in 7 remaining circles.

According the announcement by TTSL Rest of the circles to be covered by this month are Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, UP East, UP West, Rest of West Bengal and Himachal Pradesh.
