On the line of 'Do-The-New' TATA DOCOMO, the GSM mobile service brand of Tata Teleservices Limited, announced the commercial launch of its operations in Jharkhand , hot on the heels of its launch in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Orissa, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Kolkata, Mumbai and the rest of Maharashtra circles.
The company’s GSM Mobile service started in the Jharkhand as the 11th Circle to go live on the TATA DOCOMO network. There are 8 existing telecom operators in state are BSNL, Reliance, Airtel, Tata Indicom, Idea Cellular, Aircel, Vodafone and MTS India.
Mr Anil Sardana, MD TTSL said, "We are focusing strongly on network superiority, coverage and service offerings. Our network footprint is the largest among all telecom operators in Jharkhand at the time of launch. We have already made large investments in the circle and further expansion in this financial year is on the anvil." Our partnership with NTT DOCOMO will help us provide our subscribers with tremendous technological and service differentiation. Keeping in view the century of trust associated with the House of Tata, we are launching the concept of fare being fair. From today, TATA DOCOMO subscribers in Jharkhand will be able to enjoy the benefits of pay-as-you-use,” he added.
TATA DOCOMO also announced a novel “PAY-FOR-WHAT-YOU-USE” model for subscribers in Jharkhand, with a pulse of one second, and a pricing of just 1 paisa per second with the initial launch phase covering 100 towns and 3,000 villages. The services also cover 436 km state highways and 75 km of railway route & airport. Presently 700 base stations haven been installed in the circle
The company’s pan-India service rollout, which was kicked off in late June, will be completed this year itself after commercial launch in 7 remaining circles.
According the announcement by TTSL Rest of the circles to be covered by this month are Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, UP East, UP West, Rest of West Bengal and Himachal Pradesh.
