Nobody wants sony these days. Except the fanboys and fangirls who are small in number. Sony has become a mediocre brand right now.

True. I used to love everything Sony before the smartphone boom, especially Sony Walkman series of phones and earphones which were amazing compared to Nokia and the rest back then. But right now they are in a rut and are doing nothing to make themselves popular in the smartphone game. Sony doesn’t really care about it anymore. So, nothing will happen and Sony will keep making smartphones just for a small number of people and chug along fine with its other profitable businesses. They still make amazing but overpriced earphones, bluetooth headphones, etc. I tried many brands but always end… Read more »

yeah once Sony broke off from Ericsson, they went downhill. Now they’ve reached the bottom, and won’t be able to get up any time soon. My first and last sony was Xperia Pro, with the slide out keyboard. Back then, Sony made an Xperia play too. And it had a single core processor. So there was terrible lag then. Once I moved out from Sony, I never went back. Yes I remember the walkman series, feature phones, with their trademarked “Megabass”. I tried one sony earphone which I bought for 1.5K. It was good enough, but lots of distortions. Now… Read more »

I have tried it, but I’m very happy with my Sony MDR-XB55AP, MDR-XB50AP (both wired) and Sony MDR-XB50BS bluetooth earphones. I’ve literally not found anything other than Sony earphones to give a long term satisfaction to me in music. I would have gotten Sony bluetooth headphones too, but I sweat a ton when I wear any kind of headphones and so I am using a cheap Phillips SHP1900 headphone which I use once in a blue moon.

Oh I have a funny story. I had a Sony W810i or something and the earphones that came out of the box sounded so good that someone in my class stole it. I’m just glad I had used it for almost 2 years before it got stolen. And I loved the camera on that one back then.

It was an amazing feature phone audiowise. I lost the phone itself just after 7 months of use.

Xperia M5 was hands down the best midranger of its time. Too bad Sony went downhill soon afterwards.

They have innovated even in the smartphone segment recently, but their devices look ultra ugly and their UI sucks which makes them irrelevant.
