Reliance Communications have announced the roll-out of its CDMA wireless broadband service dubbed as Reliance Netconnect Broadband Plus.

reliancenetconnectReliance claims that this is India's 20 time fastest Internet service in compare to all wireless Internet services like GPRS-EDGE and Tata PHOTON or others offered by any telecom operator, with a downlink speed of up to 3.1 Mbps and a separate uplink speed of up to 1.8 Mbps.The release further states that the Netconnect Broadband Plus service will be available in 35 cities, Currently the coverage areas of Reliance Netconnect Broadband Plus service are in Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Ernakulam, Erode, Guntur, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kakinada, Kolkata, Kota, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Mysore, Nagpur, Patiala, Pune, Rajahmundry, Salem, Surat, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupur, Udaipur, Ujjain, Vadodara, Vapi, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam.




The company will retail Netconnect Broadband Plus in 12,000 IT retail outlets across India as well as 2,300 Reliance Communication retail stores and the 240 Reliance World outlets.The company has upgraded the software in its existing CDMA network to make available high-speed Internet.

Reliance Netconnect Broadband Plus will be available in the retail outlets from March 17. It will be launched in two Plug and Play USB device variants. The wireless broadband service will use Reliance Communication's digital network of fiber optic cable systems. The Data card/USB device will be available at Rs 3,500 and users can choose from service plans that range from Rs 299 for pay-per-use to Rs 1,750 for unlimited usage.
