Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio Infocomm has come up with a new offer under which users can purchase the JioPhone at just Rs 699. As part of the company's JioPhone Diwali Gift 2019 offer, Reliance Jio will be providing the Rs 1,500 worth JioPhone at Rs 699. This essentially means the customers will save Rs 801 on the JioPhone, and at the same time, the company will provide additional data for the first seven recharges made on JioPhone. Having said that, there are no terms and conditions for this offer from Reliance Jio and there's no requirement for the customers to exchange their old phone as well. However, users will have to return the JioPhone after three years, which is the same earlier as well.

JioPhone at Rs 699: How to Avail it?

Reliance Jio introduced the JioPhone back in 2017 and it became popular instantly, thanks to the affordable price tag. Jio is now notching up the things a bit higher and will be selling the JioPhone at just Rs 699 for a limited period. The company says it's a limited period offer valid from Dussehra to Diwali. So maybe the offer will kickstart on October 8 on Dussehra and will end sometime later this month.

That's not all. Reliance Jio will also provide additional data on the first seven recharges. For example, if a customer recharges Rs 49 JioPhone plan every month, then the company will deliver Rs 99 plan's data benefit which is 14GB on top of the recharged plan benefit. So essentially, Jio will provide Rs 99 plan's data benefit free for the first seven recharges, brining the overall savings to the customers around Rs 1,500 (Rs 800 off on JioPhone+Rs693 free plan for seven recharges).

This is an interesting offer from Reliance Jio, and for the first time, we do not see any sort of terms and conditions from the Mukesh Ambani-owned company. Also, do make a note that this offer is applicable only for the Reliance JioPhone and not the JioPhone 2.

No Requirement of Exchanging Old Feature Phone

For the unaware, Reliance Jio introduced the JioPhone at an affordable price of Rs 1,500 back in 2017. However, to purchase the 4G feature phone from Jio, a user will have to exchange the old feature phone, post which Jio will provide a new JioPhone by collecting Rs 1,500 full refundable security deposit. However, under the JioPhone Diwali Gift 2019 offer, there's no requirement for the users to exchange their old feature phone; All they have to do is walk into a Jio Digital Store and pay Rs 699 to get the first-generation JioPhone.

Another thing worth noting is the users will have to return the JioPhone as usual after three years and this condition remains the same, as earlier. While purchasing the JioPhone for Rs 699, users will also be required to pay the first recharge amount which can be either Rs 49 or Rs 99 or Rs 153.

JioPhone Tariff Plans Detailed

Reliance Jio has the best feature phone tariff plan available in the industry right now. JioPhone's tariff plans start at Rs 49 and there are two more plans as well- Rs 99 and Rs 153. The Rs 49 plan offers 1GB of 4G data, unlimited voice calls and 50 SMSes for a period of 28 days. The Rs 99 JioPhone plan ships with benefits like 500MB data per day, unlimited voice calls and 300 SMSes for 28 days. Lastly, the premium Rs 153 monthly JioPhone plan also comes with 1.5GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and 100 SMSes per day.

The three plans mentioned above are valid for both Reliance JioPhone and JioPhone 2. On the flip side, the JioPhone 2 can be purchased only via online stores, whereas the JioPhone can be purchased across offline stores.
