Reliance Jio, India's largest telecom operator, has confirmed that it is growing its business in the enterprise segment and is also displacing competition whenever getting an opportunity. Further, Reliance Jio said that it is seeing growth in the IoT (Internet-of-Things) segment. This was confirmed by Anshuman Thakur, head of technology at Reliance Jio Infocomm at the Q1 FY25 earnings call. Jio made some major announcements during the quarter's results.
At present, Airtel and Vodafone Idea (Vi) have deeper relations with enterprises in India as they have been in the market for a longer time. However, Jio is also growing its B2B arm and trying to displace customers whenever there's an opportunity.

Thakur said that enterprise deals tend to be of longer tenure and thus the company has to wait for the opportunity when the renewal of a contract is coming up. That is when Jio can step in and try to sell its services.
"We have expanded our wallet share beyond connectivity," said Thakur. Jio now offers 5G throughout the country to customers, and since it has deployed 5G SA (standalone), it can also offer effective network-slicing services. Jio's enterprise arm offers services such as chatbots, cloud communications platforms (CPaaS), and more.

Jio's AirFiber services has also seen a strong uptake and Jio announced that it recently added more than a million AirFiber customers in the quarter.
