In the sub Rs 100 category of prepaid plans, other incumbent telcos have followed suit of Reliance Jio. The Mukesh Ambani led telco had launched the Rs 49 prepaid pack which became a massive hit among the consumers. Following this trend, Vodafone and Bharti Airtel both debuted or revised their Rs 47 prepaid plan for the subscribers. The affordability of this plan is something which makes it an attractive package for users looking for short-term, dirt cheap plans. Below we have compared these Rs 49 and Rs 47 plans by Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone.

Rs 49 Prepaid Recharge Plan by Jio

Reliance Jio offers the Rs 49 prepaid plan for JioPhone users only. As part of this subscription, the JioPhone users enjoy the benefit of 1GB daily data, up to 50SMSes and free local and STD calls for a validity of 28 days. The post FUP speed on this plan is 64Kbps. Along with the usual data and calling benefits, as part of this plan users get access to a host of Reliance Jio apps. The only possible drawback with this plan is its exclusive availability for JioPhone users. If you do not have a JioPhone, then you won’t be able to reap the benefits of this plan.

Rs 47 Prepaid Recharge Plan by Vodafone

Vodafone’s Rs 47 plan offers different benefits, unlike a combo plan offering. Under this plan, subscribers get to enjoy the benefit of 125 minutes of local and STD voice calls, up to 50 local and national SMSes, and 500MB of 3G/4G data for a validity period of 28 days. It is also worth noting that this plan might cost Rs 48 in certain circles like Gujarat. In Bihar and Jharkhand circle, this plan ships 1GB of total data for the same price, whereas it includes talk time of up to 150 minutes for circles like Chennai, Chhattisgarh, Kolkata, and Madhya Pradesh.

This plan by Vodafone previously did not use to come with SMS and voice calling benefits. However, due to the increasing competition, Vodafone now ships the Rs 47 with bundled data, calling and SMS benefits, thus making this plan a better and more attractive offering.

Rs 47 Prepaid Recharge Plan by Bharti Airtel

The Bharti Airtel prepaid plan of Rs 47 bears an uncanny resemblance to the Vodafone Rs 47 plan. This plan similarly offers 150 minutes of local and STD voice calls, combined with 50 local and STD SMSes, and 500MB of 3G/4G data for the same validity period of 28 days. It seems that to beat the competition and not lag behind, Airtel launched this new Rs 47 plan to level the likes of Vodafone and Reliance Jio.
