OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T Getting OxygenOS 4.0.2 update, Wi-Fi Connectivity Issue Remains Unsolved

OnePlus has announced the rollout of its incremental Nougat-based update – OxygenOS 4.0.2 for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. The update is being rolled out to lesser devices for now, but will eventually hit every device in the coming weeks. Sadly, this update does not fix all the issues and bugs brought by the previous OxygenOS 4.0.1.

OnePlus has revealed that the new update does not fix the Wi-Fi fluctuation issue on the flagships. The company is still working on fixing the problem, though. On a brighter side, with the OxygenOS 4.0.2 update, OnePlus has successfully fixed the Google Play download bug, which was creating hurdles in downloading apps from the store.

Tony L, Staff Member at the OnePlus forum posted the highlights of the new update:

Here are the highlights:

  • Upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat

    • New Notifications Design
    • New Settings Menu Design
    • Multi-Window View
    • Notification Direct Reply
    • Custom DPI Support
    • Added Status Bar Icon options
  • Improved Shelf Customization

  • Updated APN Settings for select Carriers

  • Fixed Proximity Sensor bug during calls

  • Fixed Google Play Store download bug

  • Increased System Stability

***Known Issues and Fixes

  • WiFi connectivity might still fluctuate, if you experience this issue, please send me a pm.

Except for the minor fixes, the new update does not bring any monumental change in the devices. Also, the changelog for the new OxygenOS 4.0.2 update is pretty much similar to the previous update. Other than the fixes that we mentioned above, this update does not solve any other problem.
