Microsoft is on the verge of rolling out the Commercial preview of the Office 2019 for Mac users. The Commercial Preview of the 2019 edition of Office for Windows users was already out in the month of April. However, the actual update to the software will be rolled out together for both Mac and Windows users. The Office 2019 Commercial Edition will include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote. The features which the new update will carry resemble the ones found in the Office 365 subscription.The new Office 2019 for Mac will encompass features which will be liked by both the end users and the IT department. To name a few, features like the roaming pencil case and ribbon customisations will debut in the Office apps with the new edition.
A very interesting update this year will be the focus mode in Word that will remove all the editing tools and other noise on the screen to just show the document on the laptop screen. There is also going to be a word translator, improved inking functionality, customisable Office ribbons, and overall accessibility improvements in Microsoft Office Word 2019 edition.
Excel is also going to see some major revamp like the addition of funnel charts and 2D maps, and new Excel functions like CONCAT, TEXTJOIN, IFS, and SWITCH. Powerpoint also gets a new Morph transition feature, 4K video support, play-in-click sequence. The roaming pencil case also makes its way to Powerpoint as well, besides the new update will bring the ability to insert and manage icons, SVG, and 3D models on board. Lastly, Outlook gets a whole new @mentions feature that closely resembles the new Gmail update. Apart from that, there is a new Focused Inbox, summary cards for travel and delivery details. The new edition also features a new send later feature that will let you schedule delivery of emails for future. Introduction of email templates, and read and delivery receipts are some additional features which will make their way to the Office portfolio apps.
The Office 2019 is supported over two latest versions of the macOS, and now the Office 2019 Commercial View program is open for participation by the users.
