Latest Rs 449 Prepaid Plan from Airtel Offers 2GB Daily Data for 70 Days

Bharti Airtel has silently introduced a new prepaid plan of Rs 449 for all its users in the country. This new plan will join Airtel’s lineup of 2GB data plans, under which the telco until now has the Rs 499 plan that was introduced last month. The Rs 449 prepaid plan gives 2GB of data per day and that too for 70 days. Of course, Airtel still has its Rs 448 open market prepaid plan that’s offering 1.4GB data on a daily basis, but the newly introduced plan gives 0.6GB more and also comes with lesser validity. Alongside the data benefit, Airtel users will also get unlimited voice calls (local, STD & national roaming) and 100 SMS per day for the entire validity period.

Airtel

Under this new prepaid plan, Airtel’s offering a total of 140GB for 70 days with the per GB value coming down to Rs 3.2. Airtel’s Rs 499 plan, in contrast, gives 2GB data per day for 82 days. As usual, there’s no limit for the voice calls usage though, unlike on Idea Cellular and Vodafone network. The SMS benefit is limited to 100 SMS per day, as per Trai’s regulations.

As mentioned, Airtel is still offering the Rs 448 prepaid plan which provides a user with 1.4GB data per day and the same unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day for 82 days.

Having said that, Airtel now has three 2GB daily data plans of Rs 249, Rs 449 & Rs 499 and four 1.4GB daily data plans of Rs 199, Rs 399, Rs 448 & Rs 509. So the telco is unifying its tariff lineup to put it against Reliance Jio. For the unaware, Jio has both 1.5GB and 2GB daily data plans starting from just Rs 149. On the flip side, Airtel’s 1.4GB plan starts at Rs 199.

Airtel also introduced a couple of 3GB daily data plans of Rs 349 and Rs 558 very recently. So finally Airtel is looking to unify its tariff lineup and the best part is the Rs 449 plan is an open market one.

I rooted my phone and locked LTE band to B3. now i am getting speed of exact 22 mbps all over the day in jio no matter of peak hours or day or night speed remains the same all the time. An unrooted phone hardly latch to Band 3(5MHz) thats why this band still able to provide good speeds. Anyone strugling with the jio speeds have a try at this method. lock your phone to LTE band that gives you good speed. In my area B5(10Mhz) and B40(20MHz) are choked.

Infill is nothing but a small site which can be installed outdoor on a pole or inside building / house. These are small low power consumption bts with very less range of 150 to 250 meters or so. Jio has installed infill sites on all 16 floors of kokilaben hospital (andheri – mumbai) where outdoor tower signals don’t reach. They are not expensive & easy to install. It is same as wifi router but slightly big with one small size bts & small panel box. You can get this installed from jio. But jio will not pay rent & electricity… Read more »
